FY2012 H-2B Cap Count
As of
7/22/11, USCIS receipted 29,568 petitions toward the 33,000 H-2B cap amount for the second half of the fiscal year. This count includes 29,127 approved and 441 pending petitions. H-2B cap count information for the first half of FY2011 is also available.

As of 7/22/11, approximately 21,600 H-1B cap-subject petitions were receipted. USCIS has receipted 13,300 H-1B petitions for aliens with advanced degrees.

FY2011 H-1B Cap Count
As of January 26, 2011, USCIS has received enough cap-subject H-1B petitions to meet the 2011 cap.  USCIS also has received more than 20,000 H-1B petitions on behalf of persons exempt from the cap under the advanced degree exemption.
